Product Review: Knox Biomech gloves
Knox Biomech gloves, £129.99
Tested by Liam Marsden
Time tested: Two years/4000 miles
What’s good? Although they’re two years old now, these remain my go-to gloves for summer riding as they fit my hands perfectly. The fingers are all a good length for my fingers and none of the armour digs in. I was unsure how the thin plastic laces on the BOA lacing system would stand up to everyday abuse, but they’re still going strong and show no signs of weakness. They offer plenty of feel, especially through the fingers and there’s ample ventilation to keep hands cool on warmer days, but they can still be worn when the temperatures start to drop in early autumn.
What’s not? The Boa fastening system means they take a little longer to put on and secure than most sports gloves I’ve used. The wrist protection is a little bulky and the BOA laces can catch on things when I pack them in a bag as spare gloves.
