I tested these Weise Summer gloves (£39.99) for three weeks over 500 miles.
Here's how I got on...
Basic gloves, for a basic price. The feel is ok, but not amazing, and they are comfortable from the get-go. A lack of ventilation does mean your hands can get warm in the hottest conditions though.
There’s no fancy protection, which isn’t surprising, but there are extra layers of leather in vulnerable areas such as the palm to offer protection in a slide.
The wrist restraint is elastic rather than a proper strap. Obviously you can’t have everything on a glove at this price but this means the gloves pull off too easily for my liking. On the plus side, there is Velcro at the cuff. These are more popping to the shops gloves than ones for spirited riding.
