Helmet review: X-Lite X802
X-Lite X802 Replica £449.99
Miles covered/time: 5000/four months
What’s good? I decided to give X-Lite a chance again after owning an X801RR a couple of years ago.
- Save £££s on motorcycle helmets
It was average but never really measured up to other top of the range race lids. The X802 has broken into that top league though.
The two biggest changes to the riding experience is the much bigger visor aperture, which means a massive peripheral and head-down vision improvement, and the improved ventilation system.
It’s the first helmet I’ve used (and there’s been a lot) that I can really feel the top vent working on.
What’s not? At £450 it’s not cheap and is going up against some big players in the helmet game.
But I can honestly say, hand-on-heart, it’s the best helmet I’ve owned, period.
I’ve worn Arai, Shoei, AGV, Lazer, OKG, Shark and so on, but this stands out for me.
