These two items are making the Arctic weather we’re getting lately infinitely more bearable.
The heated waistcoat comes with an on-off switch and leads that attach directly to your bike’s battery. It was easy to wire up to the CBF I’m using for my commute.
Unlike some heated clothing it has heat elements spread throughout instead of just in key spots. £130, Contact: www.giali.com
The coat is GoreTex – unrivalled at keeping you dry in my experience – with a removable thermal lining and body armour.
It’s thoughtfully made and versatile enough to wear with jeans to the park or with a suit to a city job – hence its name, I suppose.
It might look a bit long, but it’s actually fine while riding and the removable hood doesn’t seem to catch the wind. It’s easy to put on and take off thanks to magnet fasteners and, best of all, very warm.
