Kit review: Held 4-Touring jacket

1 of 1

Held 4-Touring jacket, £169
Mile covered/time: 600/two months
What's good? £170 is a blighted price-point for textile jackets normally.
Too long, too short, too cold, armour that moves about, glitzy looks obscuring poor quality materials there's always something wrong with a sub-£200 bike jacket. Not true of the 4-Touring so far. It's got loads of pockets, it's highly adjustable for a snug fit, the venting and removable liner make it versatile and its looks, quality free and niggle-freeness in use make it a great all-rounder. It's also available in sizes up to 10XL.
What's not? The only thing wrong with it is the name. Its shorter cut and slightly 'bomber' styling make it much more of an everyday all-rounder than the touring name suggests.
