Jacket review: Dainese Chiodo TT

1 of 1

Dainese Chiodo TT jacket, £349.99
Miles covered/time:
3000/one year

What’s good? It’s made from very light, soft leather. It’s works in the pub as well as on the bike, too. There’s still there’s plenty of armour to feel secure.

The fit is excellent, not baggy like some leather jackets, and I love the retro look and side zip. It’s not over the top with garish colours, very understated, although I’m still unsure if I like the TT logo.

What’s not? It’s a real summer jacket, no good in a heavy shower or when the temperature drops into single figures.

Despite all the body armour and Dainese build quality, the leather does feel soft and I’m unsure how good it would be in a high speed crash. But to be honest I only wear it when I’m riding something slowly and steady-ish.
