Product review: Hein Gericke Tripmaster TFL Cool jacket and trousers

Hein Gericke Tripmaster TFL Cool jacket (£279.99) and trousers (£229.99)

What’s good: The moment I put these two-piece motorcycle leathers on they felt good, not too much armour so you feel completely trussed up, but enough to make you feel safe, all CE-certified SaS-Tec protectors inserted in all the right places (shoulders, elbows, back and knees), with built-in pockets for hip protectors if required.

The leather is an off-black/grey colour that has a special TFL Cool System to reflect the heat, which does make quite a difference on a hot sunny day.

Both jacket and trousers come with removable/washable linings, reflective piping for night riding and a full-length zip to join jacket to trousers.

There are plenty of pockets for your odds and sods (two outer and three inner on the jacket, with two outer on the trousers).

I would highly recommend wearing a base layer undersuit as it helps with movement, stopping the leathers sticking to your skin, especially when it’s particularly hot.

What’s not: So far nothing, this is a great two-piece suit with no niggles.
