Product Review: Hevik Rockwell jacket

Hevik Rockwell jacket, £133.25

Tester: Tony Hoare

Time tested: Five months/1500 miles

What’s good? It’s a solidly built and effective jacket that keeps me warm and dry and is subtly styled in a khaki colour so it blends in quite well to everyday life. There are plenty of pockets, the zips work well without getting trapped and the construction quality overall is better than the relatively low price would suggest.

What’s not? The popper closures take a bit of force to fasten, the thermal lining isn’t secured well enough to the jacket’s cuffs and, if I’m not very careful, the sleeves pull out when I take the jacket off. The biggest annoyance is that the cuffs are too tight to fit over a full-length glove and not tight enough to fit properly inside, meaning it only works properly with short gloves and is far more suited to warmer weather riding.
