Product review: Acerbis Enduro One Jacket

Michael's our off-road specialist and he knows a thing or two about off-road riding kit, he's used this Acerbis jacket for four months and is mightily impressed.

What’s good?

I have to admit, it’s taken me a while to find a lightweight jacket suitable for spirited off-road riding.

Traditional adventure jackets are too big and bulky and while they are good at keeping you warm, on the flip side you can quickly over heat despite the venting. They are also way too big to take off and stuff in a rucksack.

The Acerbis Enduro jacket is the perfect compromise, lightweight but still substantial enough to offer good weather protection. It’s a fitted jacket but has been tailored to enable you to fit body armour underneath. It also has removable sleeves for when the temperature or your workload increases making it a truly versatile and valuable part of my off-road riding kit.

What’s not?

Nothing to date. The only question mark is over just how waterproof it would be in torrential conditions – but I’m sure I’ll find out soon enough…

Price: £89.99

And here's another waterproof to consider.....

There's lots of different waterproof jackets on the market, how about this one from the guys at Buse.
