Product review: Buff neck tube
Buff neck tube, £11.95
Miles covered/time: 4000/one year
What’s good? I’m on my sixth one of these (the previous five have either worn thin with overuse, or occasionally been lost (it packs down pretty small and is easy to misplace if, like me, you’re rubbish at packing).
It’s one of the essential parts of my riding gear – I never ride without it. It’s ridiculously comfortable, keeps my neck warm in cool weather and cool when it’s hot outside.
Put simply, Buff is the industry benchmark when it comes to neck tubes. Although mine is the base model, they’re also available in Merino wool now – perfect for the coming chilly weather.
What not? Not a lot, if anything. There are so many designs that buying them becomes a little addictive, a bit like those football cards we all used to collect as kids. Otherwise, this simple piece of kit does everything it’s supposed to.
