Product review: Autoglym metal polish
Autoglym metal polish [£5.99]
Time used: Several months, several localised – yet vigorous – scrubs
What’s good? If you’re a summer rider or only take your bike out when the weather’s fine, then keeping your machine looking sparkly and new can become something of a passion.
This polish will keep your shiny parts as bright and gleaming as if they were still in the showroom. You’ll need an equally decent cloth though.
What’s not? If your pipes are fairly discoloured or engrained with dirt then you’ll need to use some steel wool before applying the metal polish.
It won’t eat away at what’s covering the metal, it’ll just make it look great once it’s already in a fairly clean condition.
Perfectly useful for buffing up chrome and slightly scuffed looking metal, not for recovering rusted or otherwise damaged surfaces.
