Kriega R25 rucksack, £89
Miles covered/time: 30,000/four years
What’s good? I love Kriega gear and of the kit I have, this is the one that has seen the most mileage because it’s so adaptable. You can cram in so much stuff and even when it’s weighed down it remains comfortable.
The clever Quadlock harness lifts much of the weight off your shulders and as long as you have adjusted it correctly it should just go back on the next time with two clicks of the buckles.
What’s not? It’s not waterproof and will seep water after long and sustained exposure to rain but there is an optional 100% waterproof liner to buy at extra cost, and the rucksack isn’t claimed to be waterproof in the first place.
