Miles covered/time: 3500/six months
What's good: I used my Interphones on a recent trip to France and it immeadiately transformed my pillion rides, especially the more scenic ones. I'm not one of those for whom motorcycling is an exercise in 'zoning out', so being able to share views and express opinions about scenes along the way makes a biking journey that bit more involving and interesting.
A full Bluetooth wireless stereo system with easy-to-fit instructions makes this system a must-have on long journeys. The unit is fully waterproof and comes with a quick external removal system.
My units generally last for four to five hours between charges and they can be used in any style of helmet. I use it mainly for rider/pillion communication but it can also be used for any Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as mobile phones.
What's not: I do struggle to hear what's being said on faster motorway trips - and this is where the device is likely to get lots of use. Depending on usage, the charge is retained for between three and five hours, so this might be an issue for those who spend longer days in the saddle.
