Product review: Dremel 8200-2/45 cordless

Dremel 8200-2/45 cordless, £122.54
Time used:
11 months

What’s good: This cordless version of the Dremel is a bit bigger due to the battery, but this issue is easily outweighed by the fact you can use it anywhere. This model comes with a very handy hard carrying case containing all of the 8200’s various attachments. Great for use in confined spaces where no other tools would be able to access.

The slide switch variable speed allows you to select almost any speed between 0 and 30,000 revs for perfect control, plus it comes with a selection of 45 Dremel accessories (some of which I am yet to use), a shaping platform attachment and a line and circle cutter.

Great for detailing, whether it’s trimming, polishing or grinding. I would not want to be without it.

What’s not: Waiting for the battery to re-charge, it sods law that it goes flat just when you don’t want it to, saying that though it re-charges pretty quick.
