Product review: Kiddimoto Evel Knievel Kurve
Kiddimoto Evel Knievel Kurve £69.99 (matching helmet £34.99 - gloves £7.99)
What’s good: Kurve is the newest addition to the award winning Kiddimoto range of wooden toddler balance bikes.
The brilliant design is perfect to start children learning how to ride a bike and develop cycling skills before they get a bike with pedals. Suitable from ages two and upwards, the Kurve helps to develop co-ordination and balance so that children can move on to a bike without the need for stabilisers.
With limited steering lock to avoid having the bar swing full circle. High quality and beautifully made from birch plywood the bike looks almost like a piece of art. My daughter at first would ride with a foot firmly on the ground.
As confidence grew it became natural to begin lifting both feet, scooting forward and balancing and occasionally dabbing a foot to the floor when the bike leans over due the lightweight feel.
The seat is adjustable and gives a comfortable riding position.
What’s not: Nothing. This has given my little one a thorough grounding in two-wheeled skills – a real result, and even cheaper than other bikes in the range.
