Product Review: Cruz Econokit M2
Cruz Econokit M2, £35
Time tested: One year
What’s good? The quality of standard motorcycle tool kits ranges from barely adequate through to completely unfit for purpose (or missing, if you’re buying a used bike) so this is my default toolkit when I am venturing off anywhere further afield than my normal commute. The Cruz Econokit2 has 10mm and 12mm combination spanners, adjustable spanner, spark plug remover, Allen keys, a 6-in-1 screwdriver, tyre pressure gauge, zip ties, work cloth, WD-40 mini-bottle and mechanic’s wire. It’s not exactly a MotoGP toolkit but I have added a selection of other Allen keys, a pair of latex gloves and a few bits and bobs to make it even more useful and the sturdy pouch keeps the tools safely stashed and not rolling around separately in a pannier or bag. It’s better and cheaper than most stock toolkits and costs a reasonable £35.
What’s not? There’s no C-spanner included in the kit, which would be a nice addition considering the price.
