After one year of use Simon gives the Venhill stubby ratchet a five star review, here's why.
This is a great little wrench and ideal for tinkering in the workshop. Being only 130mm long, it’s also ideal for making adjustments when touring. The forward and reverse switch is easily swung from left to right too - making changes of direction when tightening or loosening a nut or bolt easier. It has a tactile plastic handle too, which is a plus on really cold days in the garage when everything is freezing to touch. Unlike most drives that are single sided, this one is also double sided and useable in two sizes - both ¼” and ¾”. This means it’s good for tiny and larger sockets.
As it is only 130mm, it offers less leverage than its longer cousins. Saying that, I only wanted it to be portable and useable for some lighter jobs.
