Today's bike of the day is this 2008 Ducati Desmosedici RR.
"Excellent example of Ducati's iconic MotoGP derived Desmosedici D16RR, No 531. Spotless condition and all totally original. The motogp exhaust is currently fitted to the bike, with the original exhaust system, tail unit and lower fairings all with the bike. Ducati cover, paddock stand, Ducati Data Analyzer, trickle charger and Road Angel tracker all included. MoT May 2017, tax June 2017, with a full service history. Personalised number plate DE51MOX is included in the sale (usually £1500), as is an unused spare rear tyre (BT-01, specific for the Desmo). The tyres don't much like damp conditions (but they love the dry) so the bike has never been out in the wet. What can I say about the Ducati Desmosedici... The quality of the components used on the bike is plain to see and they all add up to a wonderful overall package. It's a fabulous bike to ride, a real pussycat when you need it to be, sublime through the twisties and totally focused when you want it to be. You feel very special riding this bike, very special indeed."
"There’s no other way to describe the Ducati Desmosedici RR than as a MotoGP bike with lights; it really is that close to the real thing. The 200bhp motorcycle is a replica of Ducati’s Desmosedici GP6 MotoGP machine, which Loris Capirossi and Sete Gibernau rode in 2006 and features the same chassis layout, bodywork and ‘long bang’ 989cc V4 engine architecture."
