Bike of the day: Triumph Bonneville America

Published: 01 April 2017

Fancy something a little more laid-back this year? Then check out this 2003 Triumph Bonneville America, which is today’s bike of the day.

Seller says

“This is my Triumph Bonneville America for sale. It's the 2003 790 cc carb model. It's in excellent standard condition with only 8800 recorded miles. MOT until 09/17. The bike has recently had a new chain and sprocket set. I have serviced the bike with new spark plugs, air filter, oil change and filter, plus new rear brake pads and fluids. There are a couple of small scratches on the bottom offside of the rear mudguard. These marks don't detract from the overall excellent condition of the bike. I have both sets of keys and my name is on the V5.”

MCN says

“The Triumph America is a cruiser with real credibility – it harks back to the Thunderbird and other Triumphs modified in the States in the 60s and 70s. This means the America is not regarded as a Harley clone or copy as are many other Japanese cruisers. It’s a competent motorcycle too. It’s not particularly rapid or sporty but the Triumph America is a pleasure to ride and well put together.”
