Although we’re fairly used to V4 road bikes these days, when the Honda VFR800 came onto the scene in 1998 they were generally the reserve of Grand Prix bikes or exotic, Japanese race-reps.

While the engine was probably the best thing about the original bike (it certainly wasn’t the styling or the linked brakes) later versions became what many consider to be the perfect all-rounder.

Nimble and powerful enough for sporty fun, comfortable on longer rides, bestowed with modern equipment and with luggage options to envy any tourer, the VFR800 really is a bit of something for everyone.

What the seller says

"Here we have my much cared for VFR. I've owned three, and this is by far the best one. It is very low mileage for year (20,403 miles) and has had recent new rubber front and rear (less than 500 miles): Avon ST2 Ultra.

"The bike has stainless header pipes as well as other extras including; Gearshack tank bag and Buffalo panniers, seat cowl, original tool kit, passenger grab handles, original manual, Haynes manual and high riser windscreen. It also has lots of paperwork from previous owners."
