Why it’s MCN’s pick:
Whereas we’re fairly used to V4 road bikes these days, when the Honda VFR800 came onto the scene in 1998 they were generally the reserve of Moto GP bikes or exotic, Japanese race-reps.
While the engine was probably the best thing about the original bike (it certainly wasn’t the styling or the linked brakes) later versions became what many consider to be the perfect all-rounder.
Nimble and powerful enough for sporty fun, comfortable on longer rides, bestowed with modern equipment and with luggage options to envy any tourer, the VFR800 really is a bit of something for everyone.
What the seller says:
“A nice example of this ever-popular V4 machine. Only one owner with just 17,670 miles from new with full Honda service history. All original and unmolested as Honda intended.”
