There’s no shortage of oddities in the world of motorcycling. Over the years, manufacturers have tried all kinds of barmy ideas, most of which are made in small numbers for a short period and then forgotten about.
This is not the case for the Triumph Rocket III, the 2.3-litre torque-monster with pistons the same size as those found in a Dodge Viper.
Although 120bhp doesn’t sound like much from such an enormous engine, it manages to produce a staggering 128 ft-lbs of torque at just 2000rpm.
The riding position won’t suit everyone and the suspension can be a bit harsh, but it will put a smile on the face of anyone who tries it.
What the seller says:
"This bike is fully loaded, with heated grips, Triumph leather panniers, Hagon rear suspension, footboards, a touring screen, a separate saddle and pillion seat, fog lamps and a backrest and rack.
"What's more, it's also HPI clear, in immaculate condition and running on good Metzeler tyres. There's 11 months MOT remaining, a tailored cover and it has been alarmed and datatagged.
"Upfront, there is a clock, fuel gauge and oil temperature gauge and inside there is a lithium-ion battery. The bike is priced at £7450, but sensible offers will be considered."
