If you want something light and easy to ride, which makes a great commuter and is backed up with excellent ABS then your first choice should be the BMW F700GS.
The chassis can be ridden surprisingly hard through the corners, in fact it’s so easy to ride fast, or slow, and you can merrily throw it around until the pegs start to scrape.
It’s not the BMW GS to go for if you want to go touring (the BMW R1200GS is far superior over longer distances), but it’s awesome for shorter runs and commutes.
The relaxed state of tune of the 798cc parallel-twin engine means that if looked after it should go and go.
