The trailer for the new Venom film shows a little sneak peak of Tom Hardy's character riding a Ducati Scrambler (and for once they got the engine sound right!). This inspired MCN to choose a Ducati Scrambler 800 as today's bike of the day.
Scramblers are enjoying a bit of a heyday at the moment, there's competition in the market from the Triumph Scrambler, BMW R Nine T Scrambler and even the new Fantic Caballero.
The Ducati certainly holds its own though. Using a revised version of the V-twin engine from the old 796 Monster, reworked to produce a wider spread of torque and more power low down, combined with the small, light frame and wide bars and you’ve got the recipe for a lot of fun.
What the seller says
"A new style 'Icon'. The Ducati Scrambler sets off in a new direction for the Italian brand, one that places freedom, fun and self-expression above anything else. 803cc L-twin, yellow, one previous owner, full service history (main dealer), ABS, entirely standard.
"One year approved used Ducati warranty and one year roadside assistance, certified vehicle quality check, full service history, one year MOT, vehicle history and a mileage check for complete peace of mind!"
