What better way to spend a weekend than with a long-distance blast on a fast, comfortable sports tourer? With a 1441cc engine, producing 200bhp, combined with mountains of comfort, few do this better than Kawasaki's ZZR1400.
Launched in 2006, the big ZZR has been with us for over a decade and in that time has only improved, now coming with ABS, riding modes and traction control as standard - leaving its main rival, the Suzuki Hayabusa far behind. Such a long lifespan means early high-milers can be found for as little as £3500.
At its inception, the 1400 was the fastest, most powerful production motorcycle available, however in a world of 200bhp-plus superbikes and Kawasaki H2s it now sits as the elder statesman of the hyperbike class, still offering more than enough go, with the added bonus of being two-up comfortable on a tour into Europe.
Revised suspension on the later model also means it handles far better than its size would suggest, meaning it can achieve peg scraping, knee down inducing lean angles, as well as remain planted at the thick end of 200mph.
What the seller says
"This blue 2007 Kawasaki ZZR1400 has just 18,900 miles on the clock. It is a very nice muscle sport touring model."
