Devitt MCN Ally Pally Show Bike of the Day: 1973 MV Agusta GP500/3 Triple

Published: 13 September 2018

This is the last MV Agusta racing triple to be built and is believed to have been ridden by 22- time world champion, Giacomo Agostini (however research to confirm this is still ongoing).

The bike has been maintained by Lucio Castelli (himself a former employee of MV’s race department) and is in superb condition. The bike represents the final flowering of the classic 500cc MV three-cylinder racer and would be the ideal addition to classic race fan's collection.

Unfortunately, such a beautiful motorcycle comes at a price, with an estimated price of between £250,000 and £350,000. If this is slightly out of your reach, then fortunately there are five other MVs available as part of the 74-bike-strong auction; all of varying vintage.
