Members of the #ride5000miles group have been racking up the miles in a variety of ways - commuting to and from work, riding out with friends, attending track days and planning big trips.

What about adding to your total by riding to the 2019 SHARK Helmets Grand Prix de France at Le Mans?

To celebrate their 30th anniversary, #ride5000mile sponsor, SHARK Helmets has announced that it will be headline sponsor of the french MotoGP round for the next three years so you’ll be in good company…

Held at the iconic Le Mans from 17-19 May, the SHARK Helmets Grand Prix de France will be the fifth round of the MotoGP Championship.

There are regular ferry crossings from Portsmouth to Le Havre in France and then it’s around a 2.5-3 hour ride to Le Mans, covering around 150 miles each way. Not only would you add on 300 miles onto your total mileage, you get the chance to see some great racing too.

SHARK Helmets are the helmet of choice for three racers competing in the top class: five-time world champion Jorge Lorenzo, 2018 Moto2 runner-up Miguel Oliveira and French home favourite Johann Zarco.

The french brand will be showcasing the latest additions to the range within the VIP village at the track, including the new top-of-the-range Race-R PRO GP FIM Racing #1 as well as a Replica Lorenzo Winter Test 2019 helmet, with a limited number of just 999 being released worldwide.
