Launched in 2013, the Yamaha MT-09 is a great middleweight roadster and it’s a good job it is because the imperious Triumph Street Triple it was aimed at was going to take some beating.

The engine is flexible and easy-to-use, but with 115bhp on tap there’s more than enough power to keep more experienced riders interested. Add to that a Yamaha R6-matching 51 degree lean angle and an overall weight of just 188kg and you’ve got the recipe for a whole load of fun.
What you get with an MT-09 is the lightness and agility of a small bike with the power of something more serious. It will handle your daily commute just as well as it will handle a European jaunt.
Yamaha MT-09 for sale
John W Groombridge Motorcycles say: "This 2014 Yamaha MT-09 is a two-owner machine with 19,981 miles on the clock and a full service history. The MT-09 has taken the middleweight category by storm, its three cylinder engine is powerful and makes a great sound.
"The MT’s one downfall is the soft and budget suspension but this one has the benefit of a Kawasaki Ninja rear shock, which is a direct replacement and gives it a much better ride.
"Want to keep it standard? No problem, we have the standard rear shock, too. Part exchange is welcome and all bikes go through our workshop for a full 41-point safety check upon sale and are covered by a three month warranty."
