Lampkin takes individual Nations win

Published: 23 September 2001

BRITAIN was beaten into second place by Spain in the Trials des Nations, although Dougie Lampkin and Graham Jarvis salvaged some pride from the occasion by taking first and second in the individual section of the event.

At La Bresse in France, the Spanish team of Marc Colomer, Adam Raga, Marc Freixa and Albert Cabestany dropped a total of 82 points, while the Brits eventually trailed them home by a further 22.

Spain, who also won the event last year, now have 12 wins compared to Britain’s two.
