Youngest ever BSB rider gets Thruxton debut

While most 17-year-olds are happy lashing on another nasty bit of bodged Astra bodykit, Tony Waistnage is about to make history as the youngest ever British Superbike rider.

He makes his debut in the MCN-backed series at Thruxton on August 11th racing a Suzuki GSX-R1000 for the newly formed Fibreone-Tech Racing team alongside Nick Medd, the former Crescent Suzuki rider.

Waistnage will only just qualify for the race, since the series has a strict age minimum and his birthday falls just days before, on August 6.
