Reigning World Supercross champion Chad Reed will miss the European rounds of the series after dislocating his shoulder.
Reed is scheduled for surgery this week after injuring himself in an off-the-track accident. The American Yamaha Factory rider joins AMA Supercross legend Ricky Carmichael on the injured list, but hopes to be fit for when the series returns to the U.S. in January in 2004.
The World Series is basically the American domestic supercross championship with two European rounds in Spain and Holland tagged on.
