Medd debuts on Ducati

Team Renegade Ducati have completed a two-day test at Almeria in Spain. The test was primarily to allow new signing Nick Medd to acclimatise to the Ducati 998 Testastretta he will ride in British Superbikes this year.

“This was the first time I’ve ever ridden a v-twin so the aim of these two days was simply to get comfortable on the bike, in preparation for the test programme planned for the end of February,” said Medd, who joined Team Renegade Ducati at the start of the year.

Medd had some assistance from his new team mate Michael Rutter. Rutter has not received his factory Ducat yet, so took to the track on last year’s bike, which took him to second in the British Superbike championship.

Both riders were enjoying the relaxed atmosphere, which will change when Rutter’s bike arrives and testing intensifies towards the end of February.
