Donington rebuild update

The redevelopment of the Donington Park circuit is well underway with good progress made on the new pit and paddock complex, as shown by the first picture, right.

The work means a total of 12 more pit garages, bringing the total to 38, plus a new office suite for race control, time-keeping, administrative personnel and the media at events.

Plus the multi-purpose Paddock Suite is doubling in size for the media office for the british MotoGP round, conferences, small exxhibitions, functions and corporate hospitality.

The work started in october 2005, and will cost around £5 million. It’s scheduled for completion on April 1st, ready for the British Superbike round on April 7-9, 2006.
