Kiyo does the double

1 of 1

Ryuichi Kiyonari has taken the double win at Oulton Park after dominating both races.

The Japanese Honda rider got the perfect start in both races and held the lead to the line.

Kiyo was only troubled in race two by team-mate and pole-sitter Karl Harris but it almost looked like Harris thought better of taking points away from Kiyo and sat it out in second.

The first race was a disappointment for Harris when he crashed out after touching his engine casing down on the kerb, lifting the front wheel.

Leon Haslam took a well earned second and third place but it wasn’t enough to keep Kiyo from jumping in to the lead in the championship by five points.

Haslam’s team-mate and reigning champion Gregorio Lavilla took third in race one but failed to finish the second race and is now nine points behind Haslam in third place.
