Suzukis test at Croft

Shane Byrne and James Haydon completed more than 100 laps each during a test at the Croft circuit in North Yorkshire on Tuesday May 9, 2006, as they rpepare to mount a challenge to BSB series leader Gregorio Lavilla.

Both riders rode the latest version of the GSX-R1000K6, fitted with a new fuel cell that is designed to optimize the weight distribution of the motorcycles which has improved stability at high speeds and under braking.

The pair also worked through a series of chassis tests and Byrne tried a new set of forks in addition to new Dunlop tyres. Byrne finished the day close to lap record pace, with Haydon a fraction behind. Also at the track were the Vivaldi Suzuki team.

The next round of the British Superbiek championship takes place at Mondello Park in Ireland on May 21, 2006.
