Montesa HRC rider Antonio Bou continues to dominate the World Indoor Trials Championship. He won Saturday night’s round at Lisbon in front of a packed house of 6000 fans and now leads the championship by eight points from Adam Raga.

In his fourth win of the season Bou defeated fellow Spaniards Raga (Gas-Gas) and Albert Cabestany on a Sherco in the final.

Brit Dougie Lampkin failed to make the final and finished fifth behind fellow HRC Montesa rider Takahashi Fujinami.

Lampkin said I was poor tonight. In the first section where everyone but Bou fived it, I slipped backwards off the sump guard. If things had gone the other way then who knows what might have happened but it didn’t and from then on things went steadily downhill.”

Another Brit Shaun Morris finished seventh on his Gas-Gas.

Results: 1 Antonio Bou (Montesa HRC), 2 Adam Raga (Gas-Gas), 3 Albert Cabestany (Sherco), 4 Takahashi Fujinami (Montesa HRC), 5 Dougie Lampkin (Montesa HRC), 6 Jeroni Fajardo (Beta), 7 Shaun Morris (Gas-Gas).

Championship points: Bou 43, Raga35, Cabenstany 29, Fujinami 27, Lampkin 24, Fajardo 22.
