Sherco’s Albert Cabestany came out on top in a three-way Spanish final in the Milan round of the World Indoor Trials Champion on Saturday night.

Adam Raga topped the qualifying round by cleaning every section on his Gas-Gas but could only finish third in the final behind Cabestany and Montesa HRC’s Antonio Bou.

Bou still leads the championship with 51 points from Raga (41) and Cabastany (39).

Brit Dougie Lampkin finished a distant sixth, his worst result in the championship this year. He’s now five points behind Montesa HRC team-mate Takashi Fujinami in the championship and clinging to fifth place, just one point ahead of yet another Spaniard Jeroni Fajardo.

He said: “With the exception of the first section it was a poor performance all round and one I want to move on from immediately.”
