Dakar Rally update

There was no special stage counting towards the Dakar times yesterday, just a 280km connection from Nema to Ayuon.

Spaniard Marc Coma leads the rally by more than 54 minutes from Frenchman Cyril Despres.

All of the top five are KTM riders with Frenchman David Casteu third, American Chris Blais fourth and Norwegian Pal Anders Ullevalseter fifth.

Today’s stage is a demanding 484km ride from Ayoun to Kayes, including 257kms of special stage.
