Isle of Man TT: British Supersport's James Hillier to live the TT dream

1 of 1

British Supersport regular James Hillier (22) has teamed up with well-known Isle of Man TT team boss Martin Bullock’s Race Team to make his debut on the 37.73miles Mountain Course this year.

Hillier is a produce of the Yamaha R6 Cup when he finished fourth in 2004 and has since raced in British Supersport.

Hillier said: “I raced Conor Cummins in the R6 Cup and his TT achievements are a big incentive for me to go to the TT and have a go.

“I’ve been hungry for the TT for years but my parents put me off and now I’m nearly a big boy, I can follow my own instincts.

“I’m running my own thing in British Supersport this year with help from Gearlink and my focus is on training hard and having fun.

“My mentality is to go balls out on the short circuit but, having had a good look around the TT course I realise you can’t do that but riding for Martin and teaming up with Ian (Pattison, Bullock’s established TT rider at 39-years-old) means there’s a lot of experience to tap into.”
