Fantasy Road Race: MCN sports reporters choose their teams

Published: 18 February 2009

What do our globetrotting MCN sports reporters know about talent-spotting in racing? To find out, we got them to pick their teams for this year’s MCN Fantasy Road Race Competition, run in association with leading bike insurance company MCE Insurance

When it comes to knowing about MotoGP, World Superbikes and British Superbikes, the MCN sports desk is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable in the business.

Matthew Birt has covered MotoGP since 1996 and has been present at over 200 GPs, while Michael Guy has followed the World Superbike paddock around the globe since 2002. And Gary Pinchin has been part of the BSB scene for over two decades.

All you’ve got is a £10m budget to spend on six riders and your team must include two each from MotoGP, WSB and BSB.

With the 2009 racing season poised to kick off in Phillip Island 1, time is running to enter MCN Fantasy Road Race with the closing date on February 28.

And don’t forget that you can win a stunning Yamaha R6 worth £7799. Registering to enter a team is easy. All you need to do is log onto www.motorcyclenews.com/frr
