KTM rider Stephen Sword picked up his fourth and fifth wins of the year, at round five of the ACU Maxxis British MX2 Motocross Championship, when he completed the double at Lyng.

During race one Sword took the holeshot, was never headed and crossed the finish line a healthy 9.4s clear of second-placed Jake Nicholls on the Red Bull KTM.

Race two played out in a similar fashion with Sword getting clean away and winning by 7.6s, again from Jake Nicholls though Northern Ireland’s Martin Barr crashed whilst holding second on the final lap and had to be content with third.

Sword said: “I’ve had two weeks off from the GPs and it was a good decision, but a hard one to make. Everything is going to plan and I’m back on form, feeling I’m riding my best. The next round at Foxhills is ten minutes from home and is a favourite of mine. A lot of friends are coming. So I’m looking forward to it.”
