McWilliams to race XR1200 Stateside

Former MotoGP rider and current British Harley-Davidson XR1200 Trophy champion Jeremy McWilliams will race in the final round of the 2010 AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 series at Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds, Alabama, September 25-26.

Riding for London-based Warr’s Harley-Davidson Racing, McWilliams locked up
the UKHarley-Davidson XR1200 Trophy series championship in
August with a win at Britain’s Cadwell Park, the final round of the series’
seven-round championship.

En route to the championship, McWilliams chalked up seven poles and five wins to take the championship by a 41-point margin and said,

“I have had an awesome season riding my Warr’s XR1200 and winning the championship was our goal! 

“For sure I am excited about returning to the AMA paddock and cannot wait to fire up that XR1200 for the final round of the Vance & Hines XR1200 series. Barber Motorsports Park looks like a truly fantastic track.”

McWilliams will ride for Roadracingworld.com at Barber with support from the
HOG Racing team, the Harley Owners Group, Vance & Hines, Warr’s Racing and
SYN3 lubricants and will report on his experience in Roadracing World
magazine.

The five-race 2010 Vance & Hines XR1200 series concludes with the final
round at Barber Motorsports Park.
