Ryan Dungey has once again dominated the AMA Supercross championship to take his third consecutive win and extend his championship lead further. The Red Bull KTM rider made an opening lap pass on Andrew Short to lead for the duration and take the victory.

The win in front of 60,000 fans in Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium means he now holds a sixteen point championship lead over Honda rider Trey Canard. The Honda rider finished the night in third, with teammate Cole Seely managing to slot in between the title fighters for second place.

Dungey stated afterwards: “I’m taking every race one at a time. It’s a long series and you can’t get too far ahead of yourself. I owe everything to my team and the man above. This track was really tough today. Everyone was running the same pace and it provided a good challenge today. The start was key, and luckily, I got a good one.”
