Reigning World Superbike champion Jonathan Rea has, as expected, taken the Cornmarket Enkalon Irish Motorcyclist of the Year Award, lifting the coveted Joey Dunlop Trophy at a black tie event in Belfast.

Ian Hutchinson took the international road racer crown, with William Dunlop lifting the national award, while National Superstock 1000 champion Josh Elliot won the award for best performance on UK and Irish circuits.

Doctor Janet Atcheson, the partner of the late Doctor John Hinds, was also on hand to collect the special recognition award for his work and life.

British Supersport front-runner Andy Reid collected the Race of the Year accolade for race one at Oulton Park in August.
