It may have been less than a week ago but this year’s British MotoGP at Silverstone had all the makings of a classic race that will be remembered for a long time.

With Maverick Vinales taking Putting Suzuki back to the top step of the podium and Cal Crutchlow taking a sensational second place ahead of Rossi, who had a brilliant battle with Marquez for third.

Moto2 left home favourite Sam Lowes in heartache after he was taken out in a daring move by French title rival Johann Zarco, who hit the side of Lowe’s Kalex at Brooklands corner and swiped him from second position.

In Moto3, Brad Binder extended his championship lead after rival Jorge Navarro crash in the latter stages of the race. Wilcard rider Stefano Manzi was a standout rider though, starting in last position to then go on to finish in a very respectable fourth.
