Reynolds back on track

John Reynolds was back on track last week at Guadix, in his Rizal Suzuki leathers too – but he wasn’t riding a BSB bike. Instead he was helping assess three challengers for the two British places in the GSX-R European Cup that’s being run as a supporting event at six of the WSB rounds this year.

The contenders included: Leon Camier’s 18 year old brother Alex, plus Scots Alex Gault (16) and Jimmy Storar (19). Reynolds took a spin on one of the GSX-R750s to feed his first-hand experiences back to the youngsters.

Cup hopeful Alex Camier was sporting the same Moriwaki Honda leathers he used in the All Japan Superbike championship last year when he finished 15th in the series. Alex, like his older bother Leon who is now racing a factory Honda in BSB, started racing grasstrack and won two British title. He took up road racing in 2005 and finished 15th in the R6 Cup and then went to Japan for a year with Moriwaki.
