Twenty-one year old Thruxton local Leon Morris will be benefiting from words of wisdom from Airwaves Ducati team boss Colin Wright as part of the Airwaves Scholarship.

Morris, who rides for Trimite Brookspeed in the British Superbike Cup will be mentored over the weekend by the Airwaves boss with one-to-one sessions about racing suggestions and career advice.

Leon Morris said: “I can’t wait to get started on the ‘Airwaves Superbike Scholarship’ and am so grateful to Airwaves for their support.

“2008 is a big year for me personally and I want to continue learning, so with some of the best in the business working with me it’s going to be a fantastic experience.

“I firmly believe that this support can reduce my lap times, which is obviously going to be so valuable to both myself and the Trimite Brookspeed team.”

Colin Wright added: “It’s a pleasure to assist Leon on his personal development and we’ll be working hard to give him the tools and techniques to advance his racing career.

“We’ll be covering a wide variety of subjects such as improving his knowledge of the BSB circuits and also the technical aspects of racing.”
