TAS Relentless Suzuki rider Ian Lowry has taken the win in the British Supereport race at Knockhill after the red flags came out due to rain.

James Westmoreland finished second on his Honda CBR600RR, with championship leader Glen Richards finishing third on his Embassy Triumph 675.

Ian Lowry lead for the majority of the race, and had opened up a commanding lead from Westmoreland, when the red flags came out on lap 22 after the rain started falling.

Ian Lowry is now only seven points behind Kennaugh.

Rob Frost finished seventh after he battled with Chris Martin for the majority of the race.

Ian Lowry said: “It was an absolutley fantastic race, full credit to the team, they worked really well. I’ve been working pretty hard trying to get back in to shape and it’s definitely paid off. I’m looking forward to Cadwell Park now.”
