Brands Hatch British Superbikes: Cal Crutchlow looks ahead to BSB finale

1 of 1

HM Plant Honda rider Cal Crutchlow is in a buoyant mood following his third place qualifying this afternoon at Brands Hatch.

Speaking to MCN, Crutchlow said: “I think we’ve definitely got the pace for tomorrow’s races.

“We were running old tyres for the majority of today, so hopefully, times will improve when we stick some new ones in tomorrow.”

Despite the ‘old tyres’, Crutchlow had still qualified just 0.319 off pole man Shane Byrne.

Referring to his HM Plant Honda Fireblade, Cal said: “I’m feeling really comfortable everywhere on the bike, aside from Paddock Hill, which is proving a bit difficult.

“We’ve still got problems backing the bike in at Paddock Hill, and the problem doesn’t seem to be occurring anywhere else.”

Despite minor problems, Crutchlow is still confident for tomorrow:

“I’m really looking forward to tomorrow, and hopefully I’ll get two good results in my final two BSB races.”
