Tom Sykes is off our christmas card list

On Saturday at BSB Silverstone my step son bought a picture of Tom Sykes and waited at the Rizla Suzuki stand as he was due to do a signing at 5pm.

We arrived at 4.45 to be first in the queue. At 5.10 he hadn’t arrived and someone made a call and we were told he had got the time wrong, thought it was 5.30 but was on his way. To cut a long story short he eventually sauntered up at 6pm – the waiting fans had dwindled considerably by then!

If he had apologised at least it would have made the wait a bit more bearable but he didn’t say a word! I always thought he seemed a grounded sort of guy but seems this year’s success has gone to his head.

No comparison to Leon Haslam who always has the time for his fans – the Tom sykes picture will probably appear on Ebay soon!
