Camier leads in Scotland

Airwaves Yamaha’s Leon Camier once again headed the time sheets during free practice three at Knockhill in Scotland, ahead of round six of the ViSK British Superbike Championship.

The championship leader jumped into P1 with 25 minutes of the session left to run with a time of 49.277secs which no one else was able to challenge.

The session suffered two red flags, the first was caused by Josh Brookes crashing his HM Plant Honda at turn one. Gravel from the crash was spread across the track hence the need for a red flag. He was fine but his bike needed a lot of work so he sat the rest of the session out.

The second red flag came when John Laverty’s Buildbase Kawasaki’s engine let go dropping oil at turn one.

Camier said: “I’m very happy with that. I went out on an old tyre so I’m happy to get P1. I hope it stays dry for Superpole as we’ve not tested in the wet here.”
